This piece was commissioned in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of The Lutheran Chorale of the Niagara Frontier under the direction of Thomas J. Mudd, Jr. The Text of this work was taken from the first two verses of Psalm 89 in the Revised Standard Version of the Bible.
"I will sing of thy steadfast love, O Lord, forever; with my mouth I will proclaim thy faithfulness to all generations.
For thy steadfast love was established forever, thy faithfulness is firm as the heavens."
